Grant Awarded Focusing on Cancer Therapeutics Targeting p53

PharmaGenics, Inc., Allendale, New Jersey, Xenova Group plc, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, New York, announced the receipt of a five-year grant, for up to $2.3 million, in support of a joint anticancer drug discovery and development program.

The award, which provides for approximately $407,000 of funding in the first year, was awarded by the U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI), in the form of a Cooperative Agreement award.

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center has joined Xenova and PharmaGenics, collaborators since 1994, to form a National Cooperative Natural Products Drug Discovery Group. The group will utilize the...
