Collaboration Announced To Develop DNA Sequencing Technology

Incyte Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Palo Alto, California, and Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) announced that they are collaborating on the development of a next-generation robotic system for Incyte's high-throughput DNA sequencing operations.

The robotics system is based on the Allekto series of laboratory automation products developed by SAIC's Laboratory Sensors and Automation Division in San Diego, California. This high-performance system employs multiple independent robotic arms and sophisticated scheduling software to allow rapid analysis of thousands of DNA samples per day for genomic studies.
