Proprietary Permeation Enhancers To Deliver Genetic Code Blockers Discovered

Gilead Sciences, Inc., Foster City, California, announced the discovery of a proprietary permeation enhancer for the efficient delivery of oligonucleotides and other genetic material to the inside of cells.

The discovery was published in the April 16, 1996, issue of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences by researchers from Gilead Sciences and their collaborators at Glaxo Wellcome, Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
