IL-12 Transduced Carcinoma Cell Vaccine Efficacious In Vivo

Vaccination with irradiated cancer cells transduced with IL-12 cured 40 percent of mice with experimental lung metastases.

M. Rodolfo presented results of research at the 87th Annual Meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research, held April 20-24, 1996, in Washington, D.C., which compared the vaccine efficacy of IL-12 transduced cancer cells against IL-2 transduced cancer cells in a murine model.

"IL-12 is better than IL-2 in producing vaccines," stated Rodolfo.

Rodolfo and colleagues from the Istituto Nazionale Tumori, in Milano, Italy, used BALB/c mice with experimental lung metastases of the colonic adenovirus...
