Factor IX Clotting Activity Enhanced by Genetic Replacements

Genetic engineering enhances the clotting activity of factor IX.

Building on previous research, J.-Y. Chang and colleagues from the University of North Carolina, submitted updates on their research concerning the development of clotting factors for hemophilia at the 22nd International Congress of the World Federation of Hemophilia, held June 23-28, 1996, in Dublin, Ireland (abstract "Enhancement of the Factor IX Clotting Activity By Replacing the First Epidermal Growth Factor-Like Domain with that of Factor VII").
