Agreement Involves Gene Repair Technology

Kimeragen, Inc., Newtown, Pennsylvania, and the Perkin-Elmer Corp., Norwalk, Connecticut, have signed an agreement under which PE Applied Biosystems, synthesizes and supplies to Kimeragen the oligonucleotide compounds developed from Kimeragen's chimeraplasty gene repair technology.

Kimeragen has been developing chimeraplasty as a potential treatment for genetic diseases, cancer and viral diseases. PE Applied Biosystems and Kimeragen also make the chimeric compounds available for non-profit academic research through PE Applied Biosystems' custom oligonucleotide synthesis service.
