DNA Technology Induces Immune Response Against HSV-2

Paradigm Biosciences, Inc., Salt Lake City, Utah, presented results of studies demonstrating that a nucleic acid vaccine using a novel non-viral promoter induces a vigorous immune response in mice to the Herpes Simplex virus II (HSV-2).

The response is further enhanced by the inclusion of a vitamin D3 adjuvant. The results were presented at IBC's 4th Annual International Conference on Mucosal Immunization, Genetic Approaches & Adjuvants, held in Washington, D.C., in October 1996.
