Association Analysis Finds Common Disease Genes

The technique should surpass the approaches currently in vogue, according to a statistical study by Neil Risch, Stanford University School of Medicine. This method is useful in understanding the genetic basis of complex disorders, if a particular gene increases disease risk only moderately, or if multiple genetic factors are involved.
