Over-expressed Oncogene Potential Anti-Cancer Target

Preliminary data from a Phase I clinical gene therapy trial of HER-2/neu over-expressing ovarian or breast cancer were presented at the American Association for Cancer Researchers Conference (AACR) held April 12-16, 1997, in San Diego, California.

Speaking at the conference, Mien-Chie Hung of the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, explained the background material which led to this landmark clinical trial and speculated on future developments.
