Glutathione S-Transferase Genes and Neurological Disease

A recent study suggests that males lacking either of two glutathione S-transferase (GST) genes are more susceptible to neurological disease and that environmental factors may be involved.

M.C.M.J. Stroombergen and R.H. Waring presented their findings in the journal Human and Experimental Toxicology ("Determination of Glutathione S-Transferase (mu) and Theta Polymorphisms in Neurological Disease," Human and Experimental Toxicology, 1999;18(3):141-145).
