Novel Techniques for Discovery Reported

The decades-long scientific search to discover the functions of proteins is a step closer to success today with the publication by a team of University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) chemists and molecular biologists of novel techniques to find protein functions and interactions.

The research, published in the November 4, 1999, issue of the journal Nature, has significant potential applications for medicine, gene therapy, and agriculture.
