DNA-PLGA Microparticles Studied as a Non-Viral Delivery Option

DNA-PLGA particles are a promising gene transfer delivery system for cancer gene therapy, suggested researchers from the United States.

K. Ciftci and J. Su of Temple University, Pennsylvania, USA, evaluated the potential use of DNA-PLGA particles for cancer gene therapy protocols. Data from their work was presented at the 1999 Annual Meeting of the American Association for Pharmaceutical Scientists, held November 14-18, 1999, in New Orleans, Louisiana. The title of their study was "DNA-PLGA Microparticles: A Promising Delivery System for Cancer Gene Therapy."
