Forced MyHCIIB Expression Follows Genetic Manipulation

A promoter knock-in gene targeting procedure was used to genetically manipulate stem cells without causing them to lose their stem cell characteristics, reported researchers from England.

"The ability to carry out gene targeting in somatic stem cells while maintaining their stem cell characteristics would have important implications for gene therapy and for the analysis of gene function," stated J.
