Results of p53 Gene Therapy Trial in Recurrent Cancer are Encouraging

Preliminary results from a Phase I clinical trial of p53 gene therapy for recurrent glioma are encouraging, researchers in the United States report.

"Conventional treatments of human gliomas have achieved limited success," stated Frederick F. Lang and colleagues from the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Texas, the University of California, and the North American Brain Tumor Consortium.
