Oncofetal H19 Gene: Potential Therapeutic Target?

I. Ariel and colleagues, Hadassah University Hospital, Jerusalem, investigated "the expression of the imprinted oncofetal H19 gene in human bladder carcinoma and [examined] the possibility of using it as a tumor marker, similar to other oncofetal gene products."

Ariel et al. published their study in the Journal of Clinical Pathology - Molecular Pathology ("The imprinted H19 gene is a marker of early recurrence in human bladder carcinoma," J Clin Pathol-Mol Pathol, 2000;53(6):320-323).
