Ex Vivo Gene Transfer Effects Corneal Graft Survival

Published in Gene Therapy Weekly, August 9th, 2001

by Deborah W. Heinrich, PhD, staff medical writer - Researchers demonstrated the effects of adenovirus-mediated cytokine expression on the corneal graft survival.

S.A. Rayner and colleagues at the University of London Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine in London, U.K., hoped to extend corneal graft survival by expressing tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) in corneal tissues.
