Antisense inhibition offers a new way to control hepatitis C virus infection

by Sonia Nichols, senior medical writer - New therapeutic strategies that involve crippling viral translation might be feasible for treating hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection.

Researchers at Stanford University School of Medicine in California have used that strategy to knock out HCV controlled translation in mice, according to a report published in Hepatology.
