KD Trust backs research to find a cure for hemophilia

In a bid to find a way of eliminating hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, the Katharine Dormandy Trust for Haemophilia & Allied Disorders (KD Trust) is launching a UKP5 million 'Haemappeal' campaign, focusing on research for a cure into this lifelong, and extremely costly, medical condition.

Very recent developments in gene therapy for hemophilia in the UK have resulted in a cure in the laboratory.
