Women with osteoporosis treated with Actonel have good bone mineralization

In postmenopausal women with osteoporosis, treatment with Actonel (risedronate sodium tablets) improves then maintains bone mineralization at levels comparable to those of premenopausal women.

Mineralization is a property of bone that contributes to bone strength. These new data, generated collaboratively by researchers at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and The Alliance for Better Bone Health, were presented at the 26th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR).
