Long-term survival of blood stem cells reported in cloning and stem cells

Therapeutic cloning, a technique aimed at producing stem cells for use in tissue replacement therapy to treat human degenerative diseases, will only be successful if the transplanted stem cells are able to survive and multiply over time.

Evidence of such long-term survival has now been reported in the June 2005 (7:2) issue of Cloning and Stem Cells, a peer-reviewed journal published by Mary Ann Liebert, Inc.
