New findings in the area of acute myeloid leukemia described

Investigators in Germany, the South Korea and the United States have published new acute myeloid leukemia data.

Study 1: Antiangiogenic gene therapy with endostatin (ES) is a good weapon in the fight against acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

"Increased vessel density in the bone marrow of patients with acute myeloid leukemia as well as elevated expression of proangiogenic factors by leukemic cells implies a central role of angiogenesis in hematological malignancies.
