Single-nucleotide polymorphism genotyping achieved

A study from the United States has reported that single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotyping is achieved by nanoparticle-enhanced surface plasmon resonance imaging (SPRI) measurements of surface ligation reactions.

"A sensitive method for the analysis of SNPs in genomic DNA that utilizes nanoparticle-enhanced SPRI measurements of surface enzymatic ligation reactions on DNA microarrays is demonstrated," wrote Y.A. Li and colleagues, University of California, Irvine.
