Pulmonary artery hypertension is reversed by angiogenic gene transfer

Pulmonary artery hypertension (PAH) is reversed by angiogenic gene transfer.

According to recent research from Canada, "PAH is characterized by widespread loss of pulmonary microvasculature. Therefore we hypothesized that angiogenic gene therapy would reverse established PAH, in part restoring the lung microcirculation."
