Secondary lymphedema improves after gene therapy stimulates lymphangiogenesis

"Lymphedema is a disorder of the lymphatic vascular system characterized by impaired lymphatic return and swelling of the extremities. Treatment for this disabling condition remains limited and largely ineffective," investigators in Japan reported.
