Reports on cancer gene therapy findings from University of Illinois provide new insights

Research findings, "Adenovirus-mediated small interfering RNA against matrix metalloproteinase-2 suppresses tumor growth and lung metastasis in mice," are discussed in a new report. According to recent research from the United States, "Matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) are a group of proteinases that have normal physiologic roles degrading and remodeling the extracellular matrix. They also have multiple roles in different stages of tumor progression."
