Researchers from Huazhong University of Science and Technology detail findings in gene therapy

New investigation results, "Cytoglobin up-regulated by hydrogen peroxide plays a protective role in oxidative stress," are detailed in a study published in Neurochemical Research. According to a study from Wuhan, People's Republic of China, "Cytoglobin (Cygb) is a recently discovered intracellular respiratory globin, which exists in all types of cells. It has been suggested that Cygb has a role in protecting cells against oxidative stress."
