Findings from University of Florida broaden understanding of gene therapy

According to recent research from the United States, "There is increasing interest in developing viral vectors capable of reliably delivering multiple therapeutic genes to targeted cell populations. Currently, bicistronic vectors carrying two transgenes linked by an internal ribosomal entry site (IRES) are the most commonly employed vectors to accomplish this goal."
