Research data from University of Munster, Department of Molecular Genetics update understanding of cardiovascular disease

Scientists discuss in 'Functional and structural profiling of the human thrombopoietin gene promoter' new findings in cardiovascular disease. According to a study from Munster, Germany, "Human thrombopoietin (TPO) is involved in cardiovascular disease as it regulates megakaryocyte development and enhances platelet adhesion/aggregation. The THPO promoter structure is still controversial."
