Researchers at University of Chicago, Department of Pathology have published new data on gene therapy

Fresh data on gene therapy are presented in the report 'Transcriptional regulation of lymphocyte development.' "B lymphocytes and T lymphocytes develop from hematopoietic stem cells through a series of intermediates with progressively decreased lineage differentiation potential. Differentiation is preceded by increased accessibility of the chromatin at genes that are poised for expression in the progeny of a multipotent cell," scientists writing in the journal Current Opinion In Genetics & Development report.
