Researchers from Central South University, Cancer Research Institute publish findings in cancer gene therapy

Scientists discuss in 'Inhibition of cell proliferation, migration and invasion by DNAzyme targeting MMP-9 in A549 cells' new findings in cancer gene therapy. According to recent research from Hunan, People's Republic of China, "Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) have been regarded as major critical molecules assisting tumor cells during angiogenesis and metastasis. Enhanced expression of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) is associated with human non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) invasion and metastasis."
