New renal cell carcinoma study findings recently were published by researchers at Jichi Medical University, Center for Molecular Medicine

Fresh data on renal cell carcinoma are presented in the report 'Establishment and characterization of transplantable, luminescence labeled rat renal cell carcinoma cell lines.' "Since renal cell carcinoma is considered an immunogenic tumor, testing therapeutic strategies has been impeded by the lack of relevant tumor models in immunocompetent animals. Recent advances in bioluminescence imaging permit sensitive in vivo detection and quantification of cells emitting light," scientists writing in the Journal of Urology report.
