Findings in Diabetes Reported from Shantou University, Research Center

2011 FEB 3 -- A new study, 'Intra-arterial targeted islet-specific expression of Sirt1 protects ß cells from streptozotocin-induced apoptosis in mice,' is now available. According to recent research published in the journal Molecular Therapy, "Gene therapy provides a promising approach to curing diabetes. However, an effective route for islet-specific targeting has yet to be established."
