Recent Findings from Comenius University Highlight Research in Gene Therapy

2011 MAR 31 -- New investigation results, 'Salmonella-mediated gene therapy in experimental colitis in mice,' are detailed in a study published in Experimental Biology and Medicine. "Bacterial gene therapy -bactofection is a simple and effective method to deliver plasmid DNA into target tissue. We hypothesize that oral in vivo bactofection can be an interesting approach to influence the course of inflammatory bowel diseases," researchers in report.
