Study Findings from Charite University Hospital and School of Medicine Broaden Understanding of Kidney Cancer

2011 MAY 26 -- Data detailed in "Importance of brain-type fatty acid binding protein for cell-biological processes in human renal carcinoma cells" have been presented. "The molecular mechanisms underlying renal cell carcinoma (RCC) development and progression are still not completely understood. The importance of fatty acid binding proteins (FABP) for the progression of carcinomas has been shown for several tumors," scientists in Berlin, Germany report.
