2011 AUG 25 -- Scientists discuss in "Mechanistic studies on the uptake and intracellular trafficking of novel cyclodextrin transfection complexes by intestinal epithelial cells" new findings in Epithelial Cells. According to the authors of recent research from Cork, Ireland, "Oral delivery of gene therapeutics would facilitate treatment of local intestinal disease, including colon cancer and inflammatory bowel disease, thus avoiding invasive surgery.
