Studies from J. Rousseau and Colleagues Yield New Information about Gene Therapy

2012 JAN 19 -- According to the authors of recent research published in the Journal of Gene Medicine, "Background Various endonucleases can be engineered to induce double-strand breaks (DSBs) in chosen DNA sequences. These DSBs are spontaneously repaired by nonhomologous-end-joining, resulting in micro-insertions or micro-deletions (INDELs)."
