Data on Colon Cancer Detailed by Researchers at Chinese University of Hong Kong

2012 FEB 2 -- New investigation results, "Bufalin induces autophagy-mediated cell death in human colon cancer cells through reactive oxygen species generation and JNK activation," are detailed in a study published in Free Radical Biology & Medicine. According to the authors of recent research from Hong Kong, People's Republic of China, "Colorectal cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death in the world and about half of the patients with colorectal cancer require adjuvant therapy after surgical resection. Therefore, the eradication of cancer cells via chemotherapy constitutes a viable approach to treating patients with colorectal cancer."
