Study Findings from Autonomous University Provide New Insights into Cardiology

2012 APR 12 -- According to the authors of recent research published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry, "Gq-coupled G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) mediate the actions of a variety of messengers that are key regulators of cardiovascular function. Enhanced G alpha(q)-mediated signaling plays an important role in cardiac hypertrophy and in the transition to heart failure."
