At Silicon Genetics, where Bates was most recently CFO, he helped negotiate the sale of the company to Agilent Technologies. Prior to Silicon Genetics, he was CFO at Penederm and Collagen Aesthetics, respectively.
Bates' background includes experience with both public and private companies.
