Studies add new findings to drug delivery body of knowledge

New findings from the United States describe advances in drug delivery.

Study 1: Intravenous gene therapy delivery outpaces intraperitoneal transfer in mice.

According to recent research published in the World Journal of Surgery, "suicide gene therapy has been shown to be an effective means of destroying pancreatic cancer cells. Liposomes have been described as having better efficacy in gene delivery, and an advantage of using liposomes as gene carriers is that they can be used repeatedly in vivo."
