Biopharma company reports initial data from launch of ZYFLO (zileuton tablets)

Critical Therapeutics, Inc., (CRTX), a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of products for respiratory, inflammatory, and critical-care diseases, reported financial results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2005. The company also announced initial sales and prescriptions written for its first commercial product, ZYFLO (zileuton tablets).

ZYFLO was approved for marketing by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) on September 28, 2005 and sales of the drug began in late October 2005.
