New molecular microbiology research has been reported by scientists at Indiana University, Department of Biology

Fresh data on molecular microbiology are presented in the report 'Division of labour during Bacillus subtilis biofilm formation.' "Biofilms are multicellular aggregates of bacteria that are organized by an extracellular matrix. A key determinant of biofilm formation by a variety of bacteria is the proper regulation and assembly of the matrix components," scientists in the United States report.
