Study data from University of Rochester provide new insights into acute leukemia in children

New investigation results, 'Battling the hematological malignancies: the 200 years' war,' are detailed in a study published in Oncologist. According to recent research from the United States, "The delineation of the hematological malignancies began near the end of the first third of the 19th century with the recognition of the similarity among cases with lymph node tumors and an enlarged spleen (Hodgkin's disease). Descriptions of chronic and acute leukemia and myeloma followed thereafter."
