Cepheid expands distribution in China

Cepheid (CPHD) has executed a nonexclusive distribution agreement with Gene Co. for distribution of Cepheid's products in the clinical research and life sciences markets in China and Hong Kong. "Gene Co. represents a significant quality distribution partner for a potentially large market," stated Ira Marks, Cepheid vice president, worldwide sales and marketing. "This represents an additional step in strengthening our distribution capability in markets outside of the U.S., Europe, and Japan." The agreement is a nonexclusive, 3-year term for distribution of Cepheid's SmartCycler Systems, accessories, and OmniMix HS reagents across China and Hong Kong....
