CDKN2A/ARF gene mutation insignificant risk of FMM or MM in cancer aggregates

The CDKN2A and ARF gene mutations confer an insignificant risk of familial malignant melanoma or malignant melanoma in cancer family aggregates. According to recent research published in the International Journal of Cancer, "The CDKN2A/ARF genes have been associated with increased risk of malignant melanoma (MM) in families with multiple members affected by disease and in families characterized by the constellation of breast cancer and MM.
