Cocaine reinforcement is attenuated by antisense-induced protein reduction

According to research from the United States, antisense-induced reduction in nucleus accumbens cyclic AMP response element binding protein attenuates cocaine reinforcement.

"Repeated cocaine exposure up-regulates cyclic AMP signaling and increases the transcriptional activity of cyclic AMP response element binding protein (CREB) in the nucleus accumbens.
