Squamous cell carcinoma adenoviral p53 gene therapy evaluated

A study from Japan has reported on the evaluation of a squamous cell carcinoma adenoviral p53 gene therapy. "We investigated the feasibility, safety, biological activity and therapeutic efficacy of adenovirus-mediated p53 gene transfer in patients with chemoradiation resistant advanced esophageal carcinoma," wrote H. Shimada and colleagues, Chiba University.
