Rituximab treatment can accelerate hepatitis C virus replication

A study from Turkey has reported that hepatitis C virus (HCV) replication is accelerated during rituximab treatment in non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). "The treatment of patients with NHL may be complicated by concomitant chronic HCV infection. Recent data suggest that HCV may also be a contributing factor to the development of this disease.
