Sky Financial Group announces sale and acquisition

Sky Financial Group, Inc., (SKYF) announced that it has completed the sale of its dental financing affiliate, Sky Financial Solutions to MBNA (KRB).

Sky Financial Solutions specializes in providing dental professionals with specialized financing for new office start-ups, equipment financing, and practice acquisition.

"We are very pleased to successfully complete this transaction, strengthen our balance sheet and focus our resources on Sky's core businesses - banking, insurance and wealth management services - through our regional market structure," stated Marty E. Adams, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Sky Financial Group.
