Ways joins BioStratum from Aventis Pharmaceuticals where he held the position of senior global medical director and global project team leader. Prior to joining Aventis, Ways was a research advisor in the Lilly Research Laboratories with responsibility for the preclinical and clinical development of agents to treat the chronic complications of diabetes and was director of the Diabetes Center, professor, and vice chairman of the Department of Medicine at East Carolina University School of Medicine.
